ANN ARBOR ACADEMIC ACHIEVERS

— A pair of Ann Arbor residents received degrees from Michigan Technological University in December. Brian Diehr graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and  Ryan Phelps earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology.

—  Aarthi Francis of Ann Arbor, a third year School of Pharmacy and Health Professions student at Creighton University, was named to the fall Dean’s List for the 2012-2013 academic year.

—  Kristin Attig of Ann Arbor was named to the dean’s list at Olivet Nazarene University during the recently completed fall 2012 semester.

— The following Ann Arbor residents were named to Grand Valley State University’s dean’s list for the Fall 2012 semester: Laura A. Benson, Mariah L. Boulard, Remme M. Cortright, Michael F. Davis, Alivia L. Ebenhoeh, Gabriel Z. Ellis, Bridget G. Erickson, Christiana P. Frison, Cody M. Gallagher, Jennifer C. Heemstra, Lauren M. Himle, Sarah E. Holley, Allison J. Ives, Alexis C. Kay, Hannah M. Klinkman, Cara J. Kovall, Elizabeth J. Krieg, Kathleen T. Lennon, Tyler S. Madden, Donovan F. Main, Rachel L. Mettler, Brian R. Mueller, Aaron M. Ohl, Jacob A. Rey, Ethan F. — Dewan Olive-Abinojar of Ann Arbor has been accepted to attend Union College for the fall semester of 2013.

— Ann Arbor resident Meredith Patrell-Fazio, a Northeastern University student majoring in Art, was recently named to the University’s dean’s list for the fall semester, which ended in December 2012.

— Ann Arbor resident Riva Szostkowski was named to the Fall 2012 Academic Honors List at Spring Arbor University. Szostkowski is a sophomore majoring in Health & Exercise Science.

— David Rosenspire of Ann Arbor was named to the Berklee College of Music Dean’s List for the 2012 fall semester.

— The following Ann Arbor residents graduated from Grand Valley State University in December: Laura A. Benson,  Samuel M. Burchyett, Michael P. Concannon, Jennifer C. Heemstra, Lauren M. Himle,  Kristina M. Knight,  Sean A. Robenalt, Erik J. Warren and  Michael J. Wottreng. Continued...

— Kelly Johnson of Ann Arbor graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical photographic communications in the fall 2012 quarter.

— Brian S. Desmond of Ann Arbor, a senior at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, was named to the Dean’s List for the fall semester of the 2012-13 year.

— Katie Smith, a Denison University student from Ann Arbor, is studying off-campus for the spring 2013 semester. Smith, a member of the class of 2014, is studying with the Danish Institute for Study Abroad Program in Denmark.

— Alexander Ziolkowski, a freshman business major from Ann Arbor,  and Jane Ziolkowski, a junior English major from Ann Arbor, were been named to the University of Dallas Honor Roll for the fall 2012 semester

— U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow recently nominated Samuel Keller of Ann Arbor for placement at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y and Chandler King of Ann Arbor for the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.
